Description Groveland Mine is an iron mine north of Gator Bay. The mine is maintained by the back forty tribe, and used to harvest metals to trade with the other tribes, although the military tribe is the mine’s biggest trade partner.
The mines poorly maintained and it would be dangerous to mine here, even with the older, safer equipment used before the war. Miners in the area know the mines hold several dangers from mine collapses to dangerous predators that settled in an abandoned tunnel. Due to this Groveland Mine is said to be the second worst place to work after the Gamma Guild.
The Groveland Mine is about 100 miles from Gator Bay and the other tribes. Due to the distance, the back forty tribe members tend to live near the mine, living in a mining village set up around the site. Since the mines are so far from the remainder of Gator Bay, tribe members seldom travel between them. The back forty tribe makes a trip down to Gator Bay about once every two weeks to trade with the other tribes. The back forty tribe makes heavy use of dear drawn carriages and The Mega Tran to quickly transport goods and tribe members over the vast distances between the mine and the rest of Gator Bay.
